Procedure for installing Application

Fedora:
  1. Create the repository config file /etc/yum.repos.d/google.repo:
    [google]
    name=google
    baseurl=http://dl.google.com/linux/rpm/stable/x86_64/
    gpgkey=https://dl-ssl.google.com/linux/linux_signing_key.pub
    enabled=1
    gpgcheck=1
    
  2. Install google-desktop-linux rpm package:
    # yum install google-desktop-linux
openSUSE:
  1. Add the Google repository:
    # zypper addrepo http://dl.google.com/linux/rpm/stable/x86_64/ google-x86_64
  2. Install google-desktop-linux rpm package:
    # zypper install google-desktop-linux
     
     
    Ubuntu
    1. Install the repository GPG key:
      # wget -q -O - https://dl-ssl.google.com/linux/linux_signing_key.pub | sudo apt-key add -
      
    2. Add the following line o /etc/apt/sources.list:
      deb http://dl.google.com/linux/deb/ stable non-free
    3. Update the package index:
      # sudo apt-get update
    4. Install google-desktop-linux deb package:
      # sudo apt-get install google-desktop-linux
